Due to popular demand we have changed the rules for the Caravan North area for BornHack 2026 so it is now possible to build villages there combining tents and caravans.

Note that fire safety rules require a 3 meter gap between individual caravan/tent constructions. This rule applies to both caravan areas. The 3 meter gap cannot contain anything flammable.

The two caravan/sleep-in vehicle areas are Caravan South (west of the road in the north end of General Camping) and Caravan North (in the west side of the gravel pit next to Silent Camping).

Caravan North now allows mixing tents and caravans in villages. It is also possible to rent village tents for Caravan North. Tents must also have a 3 meter gap to caravans or cars.

Caravan South will (continue to) be a caravan-only area, meaning free-standing tents are not allowed. This includes rented village tents, pavilions, sleeping tents, hanging tarps, and anything else except awnings and tents attached to caravans or cars, those are still permitted. We want to fit as many caravans as we can in Caravan South so please try to limit your footprint.
