Talk: Cross-stitch (not only) for nerds

Cross-stitch is technically a form of sewing where a piece of woven fabric is decorated using x-shaped stitches. But it is also a form of creative expression, a very calming hobby, and potentially a rabbit hole of nerdery to go down. In this talk I will provide the basics that can help you to get started yourself and then present some steps towards creating your own designs. What's cooler than making pixel art with your own hands?

Talk: Whisper - an introduction

Whisper by OpenAI is a well-known speech recognition system, but actually it is more than that. It is very powerful but still small enough that it can be used on common hardware. I will provide some background on it's architecture and training before moving on to some experiments, both with the out-of-the box models as well as with the Swedish KB-Whisper model on Swedish speech data.
